Why hire a pet cleanup service?
People hire QUICK SCOOP for many reasons. The main reason is most people don't like doing the job themselves. Working long hours and family responsibilities, many people have no time to clean up after their dogs. Also, the elderly and people with disabilities also use our service.

Do we work through the winter?
Yes. Dogs keep making their messes all year long, our service continues to clean up throughout the winter. Some customers prefer to put service on hold for the cold months. This is fine, although there may be an extra service charge for the first cleanup in the spring from the winter's accumulation.

What happens when it snows or rains?
We can work in most weather conditions, but very cold weather or snow can stop us. If there is more than half a inch of snow, we will postpone that day's service until the next day or two, when the snow melts away. If there is so much snow that we are prevented from doing that week's work, we will not charge for service that week. If snow stays on the ground for more than a week, but no new snow covers it, we will do regular cleanups to prevent excessive accumulation. Our company will usually work in the rain. A very heavy rainfall may stop us. We will make up the work in a day or two, or we will not charge for that week.

What about holidays?
When a holiday falls on a regular service day, we will notify you on your day of service for that week.

Should I unlock my gate?
Yes. We will not climb or jump over fences; please have your gate unlocked on your service day. You may provide us with a key or the combination if that is more convenient for you. If you like, we will loan you a combination lock at no cost to you.

Can we work with your dog in the yard?
In most cases, yes. We get along well with dogs: however, there are some cases when a dog will not let us into the yard. If you know that your dog is not good with strangers, or it becomes apparent that your dog will not allow us to clean the yard, then we ask that you please restrain or confine your dog on your service day. We do not want to take unnecessary risks with your dog or our employees.
However, if your gate is locked or your dog will not allow us to clean the yard when we come to do the work, it may be necessary to charge for the service call that could not be completed. If for instance you get to work and remember that the gate is locked, call us early to tell us to skip that day and you will not be charged.

What if I want to skip a service day?
You will not be charged if you call the company office in time to tell us to skip your yard that day. If the dog will be gone from the yard for a week or so, or for some other reason you want us to skip your yard for a week or so, let us know, so you will not be charged.
There will be no charge for service missed for some event beyond your control.

Are there any contracts to sign?

Is it possible to get a one-time-only service?
One time or short term may be arranged.

How does the service work with cat litter boxes?
You will need a second litter box for this service. On the day of service you put out your cats used litter box in a pre-arranged area, front porch or back door. The box is emptied cleaned and filled again with fresh litter. This way you still have one in the house for your cat to use on day of service and we never have to enter your home.
The payment of the cat litter boxes are due each day of service, or can be pre-paid in advance if you like.

What does your company do with my dog or cats waste?
We clean up your yard or cat box, secure the waste in plastic and place it in your garbage cans. Quick Scoop is only licensed for clean up, we are not allowed to haul the waste away, as this requires a separate E.P.A. Haz-Mat License.
